A prominent park with an associated office tower have been built at the University Town Center of San Diego. The OJB-designed park’s modest water feature takes the form of a raised volume of smoothly overflowing water with a level top and gently curved, vertical sides. The water feature is paired with an elegant trellis, which shades movable tables and chairs. The surface of the raised pool is enhanced by a stainless steel slot, which creates a mysterious ‘hole in the water’, from which intriguing water sounds radiate.
